Esta foi mais uma pergunta que me foi feita alguns dias atrás.
Para expressar este sentimento (ou vontade!), em inglês, nós usamos um Phrasal Verb ( que é a combinação de um verbo mais um(a) preposição ou advérbio ).
Vingar-se: "to get back at someone" ou você pode usar também "to get revenge on someone"
Examples:
I think he's trying to get back at her for those remarks she made in the meeting.
Eu acho que ele está tentando se vingar dela pelos comentários que ela fez durante a reunião.
Jean caught her boyfriend making out with a blonde girl. Now she wants to get back at him by making out with a hunk.
Jean pegou seu namorado na maior "beijação" com uma loira. Agora, ela quer se vingar dele "saindo" com um gostosão.
P.S.
Hunk = a tall strong attractive man = gostosão (só para homens!)
Fox = a sexually attractive woman = gostosa (só para mulheres!)
