ENCONTRE O ERRO

Você consegue encontrar o erro nas orações abaixo:

1) Grace moved to Los Angeles to look for work as an actress, and so does her friend Ellen.

2) Two cars who are parked in front of the entrance to the park must be moved immediately.

3) If I go away on vacation and there's nobody at home next week, I'd ask Mr Evans to feed the dogs every evening.

4) Burt could have gone camping to his friends last weekend, but he preferred to stay home and study for the SAT.


Os erros nas orações acima são os seguintes:

1) ...and so did (e não "does") o início da frase está no passado.

2) Two cars which (ou) that (usa-se "who" apenas para fazer referência à pessoas.

3)....o correto é I will ask e não "I'd ask" já que a frase está no presente.

4) ...gone camping with (e não "to") his friends.

Em inglês, uma das maneiras de dar ênfase numa frase escrita é fazendo a inversão do verbo auxiliar. Isto é, desde que haja a presença de algumas expressões, tais como "only..., expressões de negação como: never, hardly ever...etc."

Portanto, o erro não está na posição de "will you" (como muitos devem ter imaginado) e sim no final da frase porque não se trata de uma pergunta: who is she....o correto é who she is.

Only later did she realize that she'd been given the wrong newspaper.
